My husband and I wanted to try a different place for date night. The near empty dining room should have been our clue to how dinner would be. Service was ok, thanks to a waitress who wasn't ours for keeping our tea glass full. Food was mediocre at best. I had a ribeye, which is the only cut of steak they server. Since that is THE steak they serve I expected it to be spot on. I ordered it medium and parts of it came out medium-well and most was rare, as if pan seared only. Steak was cut uneven and the charcoal-esque taste was horrendous. The shrimp was oversalted and left a lot to be desired. My husband had the mango pineapple pork and it was at least edible, but nothing to write home about. The sides we had, broccoli, loaded mashed potatoes and stuffed zuccini, were overworked and just downright odd. The potatoes were too hot to eat and the broccoli was topped with rough chopped peppers, onions and shredded cheese. Once the topping was off the broccoli was the one thing I ate. The waitress offered to have the kitchen cook my steak more, but I had already had my fill. I know what happens to food that gets sent back in a restaurant where they think they are serving "the best". Now, had she offered another steak....maybe. Prices were ok for amount of food, but not for the quality of food served. Also, no salt or pepper on the table nor any offering of something for the steak if you like steak sauces or horseradish sauce. Tea was good.
