Oscoda Restaurant Guide

I have to say that I am truely offended among all these bad reviews about the dining exsperences people are having at the Ausable Inn. I have worked for the Inn for 8 years, 3 years as a cook. I have prepaired the food for everyone's exsperence and I take pride in my work.
I would have to say also, that if you are looking for sea food, The Ausable Inn has the best broiled fish in my esperience, my favorite would be the BROILD COD, AND BROILD LAKE PERCH,served with your choice of fries, baked potatoe, mashed, and vegitables.Pan fried lake perch is fantastic! If your not much of a fish person, on friday's and saturday's try the PRIME RIB! It is mouth watering, melt in your mouth goodness! Best PRIME RIB I have ever had! The SMOKED RIBS are the best in town! The new SMOKED MEATLOAF is truly AWSOME! I would recomend exsperiencing any of the food their at the Ausabe Inn!

First off I would like to start this review of by letting everyone here know that my father is the owner of the ausable inn. My dads resturant is NOT out of business. I worked at my dads resturant for over 5 years. MY dad is a hard worker and works more hours than most people could even think about working. My dads life is that resturant and to those people who are bad outhing it you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Ever since I have eaten there, the food has been great, My fav would be the ppj chix soup, there homeade bread sticks, the salads are great as well. Not to menchin all the BBQ which is smoked right out side in a huge smoker. They also do catering, and do an excelent job of it.My dad has been in this business for over 26 years and I think he does a great job. The food truely is great, and im am not just saying that because he is my dad, ever since I was little that was the place to eat, thats were EVERYONE would go out to eat before homecoming and prom, thats were most of the tourist would eat, and to be honest that is by far the BEST resturant in Oscoda and Tawas.

I'm not surprised if this place is truly out of business. We made the mistake of dining there while visiting Oscoda for the weekend this summer. The poor waitress looked ready to cry when she told us the few things that WERE available on the menu. She said the owner was behind on his bills. She was so young that we didn't want to upset her by telling her that the owner's financial troubles weren't our problem. I hope she found a better job-sweet kid. Someone needs to purchase that gourgeous property and run the business responsibly.

Stumbled on this by mistake. Have been going to northern MI my entire life. Stop by this resturant and they had the best home made soup, chilli and nacho's!!! Can't wait to go back

The restaurant is great and then the bar opened up and that was just a good. Will go back many more times.
