What a charming setting! A 200 year old farm house, in a tidy little settlement high above the St Lawrence River, ten minute's drive from the Manoir Richelieu. Up the steps to a wide porch, and in the front door to a cozy entry hall and parlor. Through the bar area with its crackling fire and into the casually elegant, comfortably decorated dining room in which we embarked on a memorable tour of the culinary arts in Quebec. We took on the Table d'Hote menu which included an entree, potage, palate cleanser, main course and choice of cheese or dessert. Everything on the menu was so appealing, it was difficult to choose. Each dish is individually prepared and artfully presented, so be prepared to spend some time at the table; this is the opposite of "fast food" in every way. Dinner was served by the warm and welcoming proprietors, so we felt as though we were being entertained "at home". Add a well chosen and nicely priced wine list and you have all the makings for a perfect evening, This is a MUST GO in La Malbaie; I hope you love it as much as we did.
