Atlas Hotel

I had the beef brisket and it was the worse meal I have had in a long time. It was smothered in some sweet sauce like teraki that was awful and the beef was nothing but fat. It was so dark in there if you were over 50 you could not read the menu. The salad was full of carrots and the baked potato was very small. I did not get very good service either. Maybe it was what I ordered but I will not go back.

I can't even comment on the quality of the food because my party never got a chance to eat. I can tell you the service is HORRIBLE !!! I have a friend who is a regular and has been raving about the burgers. We decided after our kids soccer game we would all go there to eat. In total there were 7 in our party;4 adults and 3 kids. It was about 7:30 pm on a Saturday. When we walked in there were people sitting around the bar eating and having drinks. All of the tables on the bar side were empty and there were tables available in the back room. The waitress behind the bar asked how big our party was and we told her 7. She told us she would have to get tables ready for us and it would take her a few minutes. A few minutes later she tells us that there is no room for 7 and that we should have called for reservations. She was really rude as if we were stupid for not calling ahead. I have to say this was the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced. Tables were available and we were told they couldn't serve 4 adults and 3 kids. What makes no sense is if we were two separate parties they would have seated us and served us. I actually was looking for a camera thinking we were on some candid camera show. My friend who frequents this place at least 2X/month was floored . He said he is now done with this place after this episode. I myself will never step foot and spend a dime here. I think the owner/head chef thinks he is in the Hamptons and not Northampton to turn business away. The funny thing is we would have easily dropped over $100.

well today we went there at 4:20, and the door was still locked, I guess they open up when they want to, we went there about two months ago, and it was seven, so by then they were open, we waited an hour just for your starter, and the entrees took 2 hours, no more atlas for me ever again, i rather go to wendys, and the food is way over priced for 1 star food that takes like forever

Good food and fun bar. The food does take awhile because it is made to order. It is worth the wait.

yes my name is joe and i when to the atlas for the first time the othere day and you food was great but the waitress was not very patiant i believe her name was amand ao alexa not to sure but thank you for your food like i said it was great.

This place is great!! A thousand times better than it was with the old owners. I disagree with the last review.. The food is great! Maybe they dont have a mature enough appetite I dont know. The food was not the usual bar food but who cares it was so much better than the frozen food the last owners offered. You have to try this place out.

While the review done here in 2005 by another person was completely true at the time, the Atlas Hotel has new owners and a new menu. Unfortunately, the "new" Atlas is not nearly as good as the "old" Atlas according to my experience there on Friday, August 15, 2008.

As far as the ambience, my husband and I were seated at a table for six and there were empty nails sticking out of the wall where the former owners had art hanging. Not very inviting for an intimate meal.

The "bar" food staples that were a favorite of mine (their amazing pizza, homemade pierogies, waffle french fries, and grilled chicken wings) are no longer on the menu. This is unusual since the place is pretty much a tavern/casual restaurant. The food was okay, but the choices on the menu for casual food were limited. I had to choose something that I really wouldn't have picked had I had more of a variety to choose from.

I'm sorry to say that I don't think I'll be back. It's a shame because this was a favorite place for me to go.

Great restaurant built out of an old inn by the Atlas Cement Plant. The quality is outstanding, and the only reason this restaraunt isnt well known, is because it's a landmark that developments have been built around, and is not on a main road with traffic.
Try this restaurant out, Its amazing.
