We went for lunch. Being Italian, I have been to many Italian restaurants in many suburbs. The price was quite reasonable for quality food. We loved the stuffed shells and Pasta Romano. The calamari appetizer was very good. I was a little disappointed in the stuffed artichoke. It seemed to lack garlic . I would try it again though. We enjoyed the escarole soup. It was just a bit salty...but would try it again. They have a nice selection on the menu . and there was plenty of food. The service was a bit slow...but the food made up for it. I'm glad we tried this restaurant and we are anxious to go back. We were lucky with the on street parking.

The BEST thick crust pizza in Chicagoland. I've been going since they were on 16th street (1960's) in the back room of a tavern (you sat on pick nick tables). "Old style" Italian ambiance, Arnie's there almost all the time. Very good traditional Italian food as well. An icon in thick crust pizza for those in the know.

Had a christening reception there, never again.Power was off early in the day never was called to be told that they had no power. The food was nothing but below average. Didn't even offer a discount for the power problem had 40 people with no lights no a/c had to use bathroom with flashlight, terrible......
