I have visited Anthony's for two decades now, and enjoy the family style atmosphere. The building has been remodeled by the new owners other than that the menu has not changed all that much. The same appetizers, most of the entrees are the same. I liked the original owners pizza better though.

The place has been remodeled but menu items are items that the original Anthony's had. I know that the original owner gave guidance and training to the new owners. Too bad she doesn't give credit for her menu items she maintains and pizza training to them.

On our visit we found the food to be ok, about average & the service was fast and friendly. However, the meal prices were a bit steep. Also, they offer a "happy hour" on Wednesday night during the hours we were there and when the bill came our drinks ...

I do not know what the other people are talking about. The owner who is 100% Italian puts her personal touches on her dishes which makes the menu unique. The food is outstanding and the cooks will make anything to your likeing. I take my girlfriend there and we will go back as many times as we get the chance to do so.

My boyfriend and I ate there several weeks ago for the first time. We arrived early (at about 5 pm) and were seated at the first table near the bar as you walk through the front door. (We were the only customers seated at a table in the bar area.) He and I didn't know what to think because most of the dining room tables in the back were empty. Our table was very small, in fact too small. Our plates, etc. were all crammed together. Two other tables of people arrived during our hour visit, so evidently they weren't jammed with reservations, therefore we could find no reason for the hostess not to offer us a table in the dining room when we arrived. (It might be understandable from a business standpoint if he and I were slovenly, but that is not the case.) As far as the food is concerned, an older gentleman said it best as he was leaving..."Place is great, food is marginal."

Anthony's is simply the best! Excellent From the minute you walk in to the minute you leave you feel at home. Everyone is friendly and kind. The food is beyond words. This is a five star (six start)restaurant! I have been there many times and will keep going back because of the high quality of food, extremely reasonable prices, and the kind service staff.

Anthony's is a go to for us. The food is always perfect and worth the $$ spent. We have not found a better place in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area..A few very close or equal competitors, but none appreciably better.

this place is highly overrated. the food is overly seasoned and some things are completely made up of the owners particular taste. it is way overpriced and the owner treats her help really rude. the cook is inexperienced and uneducated in culinary. we will never go back. the service was fine but the waitresses were under pressure and unless they were related i would not put up with it. the bar was too expensive and the bartender was ruffled in appearence.

AMAZING place to enjoy an evening. I took a date there recently and we had a wonderful experience. The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and always on top of everything we needed. They took very good care of us and the food was amazing. DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE!

I love Anthony's they recently remodled and it looks great. The food is exceptional, the prices are a good value, I always leave with leftovers. The service is great, I took my neice for her first big girl birthday and they were so nice to her and even came out with a cake and sang Happy Birthday. They made it a special day for both of us. Love their pizza too.

It is clean, and the food is exceptionally good. The service is hit-or-miss, the owner does tend to berate her employees in front of diners, at times. The toilets are spotless, and the decor is nice, but overall, the ambiance is cold (and often, the actual temp. is too hot or cold). The bar patrons are often annoying. Overall, it's quite pricey, for what you get. We go elsewhere, now.
