In its new incarnation, Bistocchi's Restaurant returns to its Italian roots. "There are so many great Italian dishes that never made it to the American plate, or that have changed so much over the years that they seem to have lost their magic," states Chef GianLuca Fremiotti. "These are the dishes that interest us the most. The second part of our approach to Italian is our atmosphere. It's comfortable and welcoming - like home. It's a place people can come for an intimate evening or feel free to take the kids and spend time with family." New additions to the services include Tuesday Pizza and Pasta Night, Thursday Family Night dinners, Saturday & Sunday al a carte brunch, as well as a new bar menu, daily specials, take-outs and catering on site in our newly renovated private dining room, off site at your home, business or at the Tripp House.

According to Chef Fremiotti, the endeavor was a natural fit. "Bistocchi's has a great name in the area and over the years has upheld many of the same principles that I uphold today. I don't view my coming to Bistocchi's as taking over, but more as a torch being passed as we try to stay true to our hopes, beliefs and traditions."

As for the menu, many of Bistocchi's classic dishes remain, however, Chef Fremiotti has fashioned a new menu in the tradition of rustic Italian cuisine. "I wanted to show that fine dining doesn't mean expensive dining," explains Fremiotti. "So I've come up with some dishes that don't depend on the most expensive ingredients, but rather the freshest ingredients of the finest quality. The restructured menu features a wide selection of homemade pastas and soups, vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus suggestions for wine and beer pairings with dinner. A delectable assortment of homemade desserts includes a family recipe for limoncello passed down from generation to generation. Diners are welcome to visit for a late night dessert and coffee.
