Kamloops Restaurant Guide

We were traveling through BC and discovered this delightful breakfast place. Friendly staff and good service. We had a chicken salad and a salmon omelet. Flavour and presentation were excellent. This was our best lunch experience during our trip.

We were very impressed with the high quality food and presentation. The servers were very professional and friendly - some even spoke dutch!
Finally, real fresh fruit and homemade products!
We'll be back.

This weekend (July 4th 2008) family from Prince George BC were visiting.We decided to have breakfast at the Amsterdam.WELL let me tell you this is the WORST WORST WORST restaurant I have ever been in!For starters there is barely any room when you walk in, there are tables with ppl eating less than arms length on both sides. We counted 8 ppl working there and NOT 1 of them said hello or acknowledged us!No it was not busy.After 15 mins waiting, we were taken outside on the patio.We were put at a wobbly table that you couldnt put your arms on it wasnt secured to the base, even after this we were like the food better be good!
On each table they have wooden boxes with utensils and jam etc in it OH and MOUSE POOP!!
Needless to say we ran out gagging! I told the waitress and she just shrugged! If there is droppings in the boxes what does that say about the kitchen? GROSS!! I will never eat there or recommend it!! I would rate less than 1 star but there is nothing lower!
