love this place. Pizzas are the best anywhere; ambiance is unique, I have gone there since high school, 40 yrs ago and still love it.

I am a previous bartender at this establishment, so i am speaking from the other side of the counter. I can say from expierence that the Kitchen excellently managed, and the pizza is out of this world. It is a family owned company that has been a staple in the Houghton community for a very long time. Houghton being a college town, this is a place that every alumni will return to when they visit the school. On Friday, at dinner time, there will be a line to get a table and they do not take names, first come first serve. There are some ancient murals on the walls, which gives the place a unique conversation piece. The little people in the drawings are making brew, and sampling it as well. If you sit at the bar long enough and drink enough of the "fishbowls" you might end up in a deep conversation with one...enjoy

I have been going to the Ambassador my entire life, especially after hockey games. The pizza is great, none can beat it! I have lived away from the area for years and finally went back last year and again this year. Still the best!

The Ambassador is a great restaurant that is known for its pizza and their large mixed drinks called fish bowls. The Ambassador is kid friendly if you go there early enough, but it does have more of a bar atmosphere on late weekend nights.
