a diner from Corralitos, CA
This was a wonderful find in the Central Valley town of Hanford, CA. While visiting relatives we all wanted to have a truly authentic Mexican dinner. We heard of Alicia's and decided to give it a whirl. What we found was Posole (chicken & hominy soup) on a buffet of wonderful housemade delicacies like chicken enchiladas, chile rellenos, chile verde, chili colorado, chilaquiles, spanish rice, whole beans and refried beans, tamales, on and on. This buffet was only 10.95 per person. Talk about a value! They also had a full bar which we ordered top shelf margaritas from. A full wine list, imported beers and the bartender even made us a "to die for" Mojito! The kids were all very happy with quesadillas and they even had a killer burger! Alicia herself was in the house and came over to welcome us, called our kids Mijo & Mija (son & daughter) and just made us feel like we were family. We will definately be back next time were in town, you can bet on that!
