West Bend Restaurant Guide

Really need to update. It kind of stinks in the place, and not the good kind of stink. The place is dark, and kind of grungy. Not the place to go to pick up the mood. Food was below standard and with all the new places in WB, why bother?

Very poorly run restaurant. Went there on a Friday night all you can eat fish fry, at 6:20pm they were out of cod. Took over an hour to get our meals, which has been the average time on all 5 visits. Service was lousy at best. Place is dingy and needs update. Did not honor printed ad for free large pizza on NFL Sunday, as I would only get a carry out from this place. Place has potential with the right manager and staff. Would not recomend and will never go back.

We are at Dicks Last night and had the best pasta meal that I have ever had. The family style meals are just unbelievable. Huge portions one order feed our entire family of 5. The food was excellent and the prices were almost too good to be true. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

In all fairness, this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who last went there about 10 years ago and loved the pizza. I went for ribs in 2006. The first impression was that the bar was empty at 8:00pm on a Thursday night, and I learned this was due to the fact that drinks are fifty cents more expensive and 50% weaker than the area average. The next impression was a strong smell; mold, dankness, perhaps something else, and the atmosphere was just gray. Literally, all of the walls and decor are done in a bland gray. This restaurant should be gutted, refreshed anew and reopened to fanfare. Why bother? Because the ribs were pretty good! And there was a family next two us truly enjoying thier pizzas. As is, I can't say that I'll go again until that renewal. There are just too many other good, lively, bright, festive places in town to get a good meal. Let's hope future reviews redeem this restaurant.
