I made the mistake of eating here twice. The first was dinner with my wife. A long wait for a table, miserable service, and a $75 bill. For comparison, the next week, we went to the old Japanese Steakhouse, had a great dinner, immediate seating, attentive service, and a bill for $45.
I returned several years later for sunday buffet. They were about 50% higher than similar buffets, but that would be OK if they followed thru. Homemade bread had obviously been out for hours, selection was mediocre, food was nothing special.
On the way out, I looked thru their guest book. OVER HALF of the comments were negative!

I had not had a chance to eat at this establishment for quite some time and I was really looking forward to the brunch. I was sadly disappointed in the quality of the food, the overall cleanliness and the addition of "tip jars" at the pasta station and the omelet station. The addition of "tip jars" came as a complete shock to me. This addition debases any fine dining establishment. It will be a long time before I eat at this establishment again. I truly feel that the experience we had was not worth the price that we had to pay ($42.00 for two people). I emailed the three people on their website but they have not contacted me yet.

I had a birthday celebration on the 5th of this month and the food and service provided was excellent. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. I really enjoyed the music and the atmoshphere.

I've been to Spanky's about 5 times. They have some great classic rock cover bands (Electric Man). The prices are a little high. The service is AWEFULL. It is not uncommon to stand at the bar for 10-15 before someone off

I suppose I am a little partial because the owner is my son and I haven't eaten there yet, but good grief he just opened; I believe the reviewer could and should have cut him some slack.
