I gave a Birthday party at 3 Sons Italian Restuarant including 31 guests. The cooperation and help that Anna and Mike gave me was great!! Everyone commented on the food and how good it was and there was plenty of everything!! They really made the day very special The sevice staff was excellent also. Thanks Mike and Anna

I was very disappointed in this restaurant. This is my first restaurant review. Arrived at 6:30 pm on Tuesday 10/23/2012 for dinner. The wine list does not even list the wine maker, just the type! How are you supposed to know what to order? We tried to get a sample of their white wine, only to be told they were out of it. The waitress told us of the dinner special, but when we tried to ordered it we were told they had sold out. At 6:30 you are already out of your specials? The breading on the calamari was so thick you couldn't tell what you were eating. Maybe it was really onion rings? Next we asked for a different vegetable with the main course. When the dish came out they had put spinach in the rice instead of making it a side! The flavors in my main dish were not blended together and the "cream" sauce was like water. I actually bit into a raw piece of garlic, which was very bitter. I wondered where the stray shrimp came from too! Then to end the night, when we ordered their "specially made spumoni"; we were told they were out of that too! Wow, for a restaurant that has in business for so long you think they could manage the kitchen and bar better. Both waitresses were heard apologizing for this and that, and coming up with excuses for a poorly run restaurant. I will never go back and don't suggest you go there either.

I read the other reviews on this page and I was struck by one consistent fact: they are talking about Three Sons in Denver! At the top if this page, it specifically references "3 Sons Italian Restaurant" in Arvada, on the corner of 64th Ave and Indiana St.
The restaurant in Arvada is not bad. It seems overpriced for the amount of food, but the quality is decent. Not as good as another competing Italian Restaurant a few blocks away at 64th/Ward, but not bad either.
I wrote this review specifically because it seems that people disslike the Three Sons Restaurant in Denver, but this page is dedicated to the unrelated 3 Sons Restaurant in Arvada.

I don't know what happened to the old 3 Sons, but this is bad quality at an inflated price.

The food in this restaurant is consistently bad. Having eaten there 3 times I think I have given it a chance to prove itself and it hasn't. Terrible reheated pre-prepared food on each occasion.
On the other hand the cocktail are excellent!

The cuisine is basically Italian with some slight variations, the prices are moderate to high, and the quality is outstanding. The martinis are very popular, but I was more impressed with the wine list of some 89 different wines varying in price all the way up to $350 a bottle. That is a little out of my price range and I opted for the 2005 Monte Antico Cabernet/Merlot blend. It was very nice for the price and went well with lunch that consisted of a shared Greek Salad and a Capellini di Angelo. Everything was fresh, just as expected, and nicely balanced. It was the perfect start to the rest of the afternoon and the walking tour adventure.
The Ski Resort is scheduled to open November 7. If you are in the neighborhood to partake of all the winter fun the area has to offer, be sure to take some time to explore both the history of the town and the fine offerings at the Blue River Bistro. If you have a taste for history and a taste for good food, neither choice will disappoint.

After reviewing the 3 very angry reviews, that were all written on the same day, about this restaurant, I had a feeling they weren't very helpful. So here is my experience. 3 Sons Italian Restaurant is a great place to dine. It's not that far from downtown and you don't have to drive around looking for a parking spot. They have some great signature drinks and a nice wine selection. I enjoyed the Sea Bass in a blood orange butter sauce with fresh vegetables. The experience was that much better because of my personable server. If you are looking for a nice night out, try 3 Sons.

I agree with the other reviews, the WORST restaurant in Denver. Terrible food, Service and Ambience. Owners hollard @ staff. Dirty restrooms.

One of the worst dinning experiences we ever had! Food was cold, & tasted like it came out of a jar. Restrooms were dirty. Service terrible and staff very rude. Will never go back again. Terrible value.

The WORST Restaurant of ANY kind in Denver! We were ill after having the pasta. Staff was rude, and sevice was the worst. We had to get out own, refills on water, coffee. Left a 10% tip which we thought was generous considering, and the OWNER chased us down in the parking lot to tell us how terrible WE were. We will NEVER again go back & will go to the Olive Garden instead.

Food was the worst Italian food I have experienced. Will not be going back. Very expensive minimum of $50 per head, not worth $2

Not a good experience overall. Atmosphere good, however, staff not friendly. Veal Parmigiana was pre-cooked and then heated back via a microwave. Pasta was cold and from a packet not home-made. Desserts also not home-made but rather purchased from the grocery store. Bread Pudding was the best dessert. Garlic Bread good but overpriced at $6.50. We got food poisoning from mussels. Extremely expensive for poor quality food. I will definitely not go back.
