Local Chef Robert Grenner's career began auspiciously in the field of psychology before making life's work of an ingrained family pastime - cooking. He took his amateur experience to Le Cordon Rouge Culinary School before heading to such notable Los Angeles restaurants as Chinois on Main, Geoffrey's and Saddle Peak Lodge. All the while he continued to study and experiment with local and international cuisines and flavors, thus creating his own fusion style. Robert subsequently headed the culinary team of Whole Foods Markets and served as a consultant to many corporate and entertainment entities, beginning the Pool Circle at the Hollywood Bowl and being culinary chief at numerous award shows. He has consistently taken establishments from strength to strength with his creativity in the kitchen and in the culinary field. Now he brings his expertise back to his own neighborhood, creating exciting and seasonally driven cross-cultural menus as Executive Chef at The Hideaway.
