As a long time area resident it is wonderful to have Sweeneys Bistro to visit when fine dining is on the schedule. Lovely atmosphere, great bar and the area's best bartender(Steve) all add to the over all dining experience. We have dined here on several occasions and have been impressed everytime! What will determine if a restaurant stays or goes in my opinion is consistency. Sweeneys American Bistro has demonstrated this since its change in ownership. In an area where there are two few choices for upscale dining the new Sweeneys is a welcome addition. The food is excellent whether its a burger or rack of lamb.
A great experience, food and beverage service was excellent...they held our table for over an hour on a busy evening as we waited for our dinner companions. The food was exceptional and moderately priced. The atmosphere is casual, comfortably upscale. A very popular gathering spot...for good reason.
