After driving an hour to get to the restaurant, I was extremely disappointed. The building and the atmosphere are fabulous. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. What a shame for such a classic place. We had reservations for four and were seated at a table set for six. At no time did the waitress or busgirl attempt to remove the extra place settings. Our waitress had very little when it came to personality, thank heaven that the restaurant itself has warmth and character. Obviously, staffing was a problem this evening, for we barely saw our waitress. She had forgotten items that were ordered and we were never offered a dessert menu or coffee after dinner.
