Those who knew the original will not recognize the clean, spacious new venue. The specialty food that brought fame to the crowded grimy original building is still prepared and served, along with a few more conventional choices. For years wondered why people line up on Friday and Saturday nights waiting for a table in a stained and dilapidated dump that looked like a former gas station. Until one night I stopped for their famous buffalo shrimp. You will never go back to Taco Mac for soggy industrially breaded and frozen buffalo shrimp after tasting Mrs Pak's large, tender shrimp freshly battered and fried in crispy, spicy tempura crust.
