Orgami is not the best place to go if you're hungry and on spending budget for that night. What will happen is you'll order a platter of sushi - knowing that a small sampling will not curb your appetite - and you'll end up $40 over your night budget. The food is great just remember to stash a couple extra twenties in your socks.

Origami served the finest Inari sushi I have ever tasted. Visiting this restaurant was a fun experience, and overall the sushi was very satisfactory. I would have preferred a bit more creativity in the chef's selection of the lunch special, as every order I saw going to customers had the same sushi choices on it. The Unagi sushi was cold. I prefer the eel to be hot, or at least warm. The specific kinds of sushi I ordered, though, were well-prepared and very tasty. The service was great, and the restaurant was easy to find with parking readily available close by. I'll gladly eat there again, but will not rely on the 'lunch plate special' for the most delicious choices available there. Definitely try their Inari --- extremely good!

The service was ok. They were pleasant, but slightly to forgetful.
The sushi pieces were too big. Having lived in Japan and treating my Korean girlfriend to Origami, we both thought their portions were definately too big. But, maybe for beefy Americans, it is ok. ;-)

Being a native of Minnesota and living in the Twin Cities area for 10 years I grew to appreciate and enjoy sushi quite OFTEN! Now that I am living in Eau Claire,Wisonsin my frequent trips to Origami have been reduced greatly. My husband and I do however make it a priority to get our "fix" as often as possible. Origami is the best. We miss the energy of the Twin Cities and feel like we're in the heart of the city when dining at Origami. The staff is always very friendly and helpful in choosing the best seafood for that particular day. Lucky for us, our families too know how much we love sushi and often times present us with gift certificates to this fantastic restaurant. Sushi is an art, (one that I have not mastered in my own home) and the wait is part of the "experience" of the meal. Thank you for having such a great restaurant!

I thought sushi takes to long to be served even though I know that chef is making them piece by piece. I noticed sushi chef have to communicate with customer who sets in sushi bar; however, I was wondering if sushi chef can catch up with making sushi fast enough to serve sushi bar and customer who set in tables. Usually, I wait to be seated for 30 min. and another about 30 - 40 min. to be served sushi. I understand that I have to wait to be seated because there are a lot of customer comes in to eat, but I expect the food to be served within 15-20 min. after seated.
Host and hostess are great. They know how to treat customers well. I felt comfortable talking to them. They were polite and kind.
