Hi...this is the owner of this restaurant. A horribly negative review (actually, a personal attack) came to my attention. When other friends/guests heard about this they rallied together and posted their personal opinions of their experiences at Ole Hickory. Myself and my husband have NOT posted any reviews about our restaurant. We enjoy reading the reviews and of course, hope that people are happy when they leave our restaurants. For those who aren't....we do want to know. Of course, we'd prefer to know before the guest leaves the building so that we can make things right, but it doesn't always work out that way.
Someone is purposely posting these negative reviews and 'warnings' online. For what reason, we don't know. Obviously we have offended someone greatly. But you can't fix what you are not aware of.
We do our best. We try to be in our restaurants as much as possible but like most of you, we are raising children and trying to balance family and work.
We appreciate that our friends/guests came to our defense. They are the best part of our business!! We hope that your decision as to whether to dine with us or not will not be based upon someone's apparent vendetta against us personally or against our business. There are far more positive reviews about us out there than the couple that someone with an agenda has placed. And again, if a negative review has legitmacy, we would own it. This particular one was full of blatant lies trying to discredit us and a group of people who dine in the restaurant.
To those who choose to dine with us, we're so thankful for you and for the relationships that have been created. We appreciate you! And for those who have legitimately been dissatisfied, give us a chance to fix it. I promise you that we will.

After reading these reviews I visited the restaurant today. I tried the pulled pork and the banana pudding. The meat was cooked to perfection. Plenty of sauce to go around. And I am hooked on the banana pudding. I definitely will try this place again. The young man at the counter was very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant. And the prices were great. I was actually shot that my tab was so low. I asked the cashier if they made a mistake. Very affordable and quality food and service.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. I have always found the staff to be very friendly & have never had any problems. The food is excellent. The Barbecue melts in your mouth & is definately a match for Thomas Pit in Madison. I have taken children there & the staff have always been very friendly & has helped with finicky eaters. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Have been there multiple times and food was good each and every time. Service is always good. Owner is friendly and so is the staff. I will be back again. I recommend it to family and friends.

My family and I eat there quite often. It's food is THE best. We really enjoy both locations and it's very family friendly.

The last poster is obviously lying. I eat at this restaurant several times a week during various times and the staff and management are wonderful. The owners are good Christian people and the atmosphere is always friendly. The food is excellent. I save my weekly dessert splurge for the delicious banana pudding. The smoked chicken is my favorite entree. It is so tender it falls off the bone. They give a discount for first responders and the military and that's a testament to what great people they are. I have never had a problem with the service and this restaurant is my first choice for eating out.

Food was not good, the woman in charge was more interested in talking to a table of crude women who were using loud and filthy language, in front of my children none the less. This woman in charge of this place was making sexual jokes as well just feet away from my children. I asked for a manager to have a talk with this woman, and she said she was the manager. This was a grown woman in her 40's, not a teenager mind you. I dont know who gave this place a good review, but I didn't find this place to be decent at all, the food was lukewarm, almost cold, the employee I dealt with was rude, and if you ever go to this place, DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN!
As for me, I won't be back, but I don't think they will be open much longer it was lunchtime when me and my children went, and we were the only other people there besides those perverted women.

The food here is wonderful! I eat here all of the time and I am never disappointed. The pork BBQ is the best in town and you can't get better side items. You can tell that the desserts are homemade. The ribs just melt in your mouth. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
