Restaurant Description
Are you looking for a really nice place to take your family to in the Dallas area? Magic Time Machine Restaurant & Lounge is a great place to spend some quality family time. It's quirky, inexpensive, has really great food, and will have you leaving full and happy. This place can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it has a really amazing (although confusing) theme, but if you remember the '80's, you will understand why. There is a psychic upstairs that does tarot card and palm reading while you wait, the servers are all named after characters from popular movies, like Mr. Incredible (from The Incredibles), Lilo )from Lilo & Stitch), Superman, and Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Captain Jack Sparrow, Peter Pan and many more. They are all very good at playing their characters and they're very attentive.
The food also has an interesting delivery. They have a "salad car", which is an old car that was turned into a salad buffet and they call their drinks, "potions". As you are eating, don't be surprised if an off-the-wall magician stops by your table. He knows some really great tricks that will leave your whole table clapping and wondering how he did them.
This is no five star restaurant and doesn't have fine cuisine, so you might want to hold off of on making this a first date spot (unless you have kids), but it is really fun. If you haven't had a "fun" night out with the family in a while, this is definitely the place for you. The characters, the magician, the pizza and salad, and of course the good memories make it all worthwhile.
One piece of adviceā¦never ask where the bathroom is, that is of course if are easily embarrassed. The servers each have their own little catch phrase. Mr. Incredible will personally lead you there yelling out, "we have a code yellow!" while Belle will take you to the "itty bitty bladder committee". All-in-all, this is a wonderful place for a birthday party or just a fun night out.
If you are in or around the Dallas area you should make time to stop by the Magic Time Machine. This goes out to families with kids and even those who don't. This place would make any adult feel like a kid again. Why do you think they call it the "Magic Time Machine"?

The Picture on this site does not fit the restraunt at all. This is a very crazy and fun restraunt. Every table and booth has a different theme (i.e. one table you get to eat inside a volcano). The waiters and bussers are all dressed as a fictional character (most being disney characters) and they make the dining experience fun. The prices are pretty high but the food portions are big and you pretty much pay for the atmosphere. It is a lot of fun with a big group.

The sign says SPUDS but, they have great tasting burgers too. You simply have to get their Bacon Swiss Cheese burger. It's awsome!
