North Canton Restaurant Guide

This used to be a better restaurant... and anyway,... this area doesn't have the quality dining establishments or discerning crowds that would make for accurate reviews posted here. This is a podunk town's idea of fine dining.

The atmosphere is wonderful!!! The food is always wonderful...and plenty! The staff is always kind, friendly and very accomidating! The place is very neat, impecably clean. Great food, great service..MUCH BETTER THAN ALL OF THE CHAINS!!! Thrilled it si still here in the chaos of all of the chains...that goodness for a fine dining establishment in the area!

There is a running joke in my family..."My husband knows how to get wherever we are going..I know where to eat when we get there". My husband knows the only place he really needs to take me when it comes time for great food is Cite Grille! My husband varies between pork chops and salmon entrees while I am a steak and lobster girl. We both agree on shrimp cocktails as an appetizer. When we have room we finish with banana pie. The servers are attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The food and wine are first rate as is the live music. Combine great food, great wine, great service with a live jazz band and you have an evening of dining and entertainment for special occasions or that special someone.

Most of the restaurants I frequent are in the NYC area, but whenever I'm in Canton I make it a point to visit Cite Grille. The service is always excellent and the food top notch. I find it compares favorable with many of the best restaurants in NY with selection and quality of offerings, but with advantage of much more moderate pricing. A comparable meal in my area would cost at least twice as much. I held a lunch there for 20 people and couldn't have been more pleased. Hats off to the Campos's.

I have dined at the Cite Grille for most of the 14 years it has been open. The food is always great with enough new items to keep it interesting and enough old standards to satisfy the comfort side. The service staff there is exceptionally great. They are intelligent, knowledgeable and very friendly. The recent addition of the Jazz bar has made Cite Grille a wonderful place to spend the evening. With food prices on the dinner menu ranging from $7 for a burger to one pound Veal Chops for $25 I always find a dish to please.

Cite Grille used to be a good restaurant, though over the past couple of years, the quality of the food has declined dramatically and the prices have risen considerably. My last three meals at Cite Grille have been poor. The last time, despite our reservations, we waited for 40 mintues for our table, and the waitress didn't come over until someone in the party flagged down the manager -- 30 minutes later. To add insult to injury, the food was terrible. The pecan crusted walleye was sweet (they have maple syrup in the recipe) and heavy. The coffee tastes like rust, and the water is equally unappetizing. Whereas the fish entrees used to be $14.95 -- a good value -- they are now $22-24. I think Cafe 91 or Peter Shears are better alternatives.

My favorite restaurant in the Canton area. The food is ALWAYS GREAT!!! The wait staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. With the cool Jazz that is sometimes offered, it is truly a wonderful experience ! !Special celebrations are always spent there.
