I have being there twice, the food is so fantastic! I LOVE it. The service is always friendly and cook infornt of the customer makes ppl feel more interesting and enjoying.I will definetly recommend this restaurant to everyone else.

My parents took my sister and I here for our birthday dinner. My parents have been here a few times, but I had never heard of it. There were 6 of us all together and we had a blast. The food was good, agree it is not truely authentic Japenese, but the entertainment was worth the cost of the meal alone. Mendosa was engaging, witty and fun to watch work. Being able to eat while he entertained was a bonus for me. I will be going back and bringing friends!

Absolutely love Jenpachi! I've been there twice now and will definitely go back. You must get the fried rice.. it's definitely worth the extra cost. The lobster sauce is to die for! Service was great and the chefs were entertaining. A little on the pricey side but worth it!

Once you been there you've been there - that's enough...
The food is tasty but not much variety.
Mexicans, not Japanese, have been trained to do the knife and cooking tricks etc; they do pretty well for beginners mind you. Management/hostess do seem up-tight, ready to move you through fast - and spendy for what you get.
There is much room for improvement and I hope they do because we need a good Japanese restaurant.
The food is tasty but not much variety.

Had reservations. Staff seemed uptight. Got seated where a large strong air vent continuously blew on us. We were confronted in a hostile manner when we moved. Food and service NOT worth the spendy price.

I have been a regular here for years, the owner is great at recognizing his regulars. The cooks are fantastic and the foot is unbeatable! We celebrate every birthday here too. One reviewer said the food was spendy...maybe, but the price is worth it. I do not mind paying a little extra for fantastic food. The rice is the best rice I have ever eaten!!! I strongly recommend everyone go here, they do have budget meals as well.

Jenpachi is a wonderful dining experience! It is fun for everyone, the chefs do a great job involving the crowed! The food is delicious! The steak is the best steak in the city. I highly recommend Jenpachi to ANYONE!
