Geja's Cafe: An Intimate Dining Adventure

Walking into a fine restaurant should evoke emotion in one's heart. Environment and aura are everything when it comes to having a truly unique and engaging eating experience. From the moment one's eyes are laid on the exterior of the building to entering the main entrance and seeing the interior for the first time, a great restaurant should captivate its customers from the start. Decor, lighting, music--the whole ambiance must flow harmoniously together to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Geja's Cafe is the embodiment of the complete restaurant spirit and brings diners into a world of special and savory sensations.

Geja's Cafe houses its customers in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Many of the walls are light-colored stone, giving the place a rustic and relaxed feel. The decor is nothing short of spectacular with warm-tone furniture and elegant furnishings. While enjoying the delicious cuisines offered, diners will be entertained by the sweet melodies of live in-house musical performances. The restaurant is an ideal location for a romantic night for two, for a reunion of best friends, for a family dinner, or for any other special occasion that calls for a special time.

At the heart of Geja's Cafe is the community-style fondue style of dining. This interactive food event is so much fun for family and friends because it allows total customization of one's meal. No matter what preferences each individual at the table has, he or she is free to enjoy the food in his or her own unique way. Speaking of food, Geja's Cafe offers a wide selection of quality ingredients for the cooking. The signature meal is no doubt the Premiere Dinner, a combination sample of the best fondue foods available. This four-course dinner serves up a fresh selection of breads with a rich Swiss cheese fondue for starters. Next up is a refreshing salad appetizer to contrast the heaviness of the previous tasting and to stimulate the taste buds for the main course. The main course consists of a choice of large shrimp, sea scallops, lobster tail, chicken breast, or beef tenderloin. All of these divine proteins will bathe in a boiling miracle broth then cool off in any of the 8 signature sauces. Finally, dessert is served in the form of a warm chocolate fondue with choices of pound cake, marshmallows, and fresh fruit on the side.

For newcomers that want to try Geja's for the first time at a discount, purchase a Geja's Cafe coupon and enter a realm of indulgent eating. This coupon also makes for a great gift for a birthday or other celebration. Fondue at Geja's Cafe is a guaranteed to be a fun time for all so bring the whole party because the more the merrier.

One of the most romantic restaurants in Chicago(if you get a booth). A booth is a must for a romantic, secluded setting. I'd suggest making reservations so you don't have to wait. I've never gone without reservations but based on the other reviews I'd assume it's a long wait. The food is also excellent if you like fondue.

My wife and I flew in from Boston that day just to go to Geja's Cafe (The 9 year anniversary of our first date). We put our name on the list at 6:30pm and at 9:30pm still had not been seated despite checking in with hostess on occasion. Not one employee apologized or sypathized with us. So we left (My wife cried all the way to our car). Wrote a letter, and the owner's response was indifferent. My wife and I both worked at restaurants to know proper response to such poor service. Worst experience ever at any place of business.
