Whether you are in the mood for an exotic lunch or satisfying bistro fare, diners make Tribeca's Franklin Station Café their destination. According to famed New York food critic, Sylvia Carter, "Franklin Station Café is one of those unlikely ideas that succeeds. In this case, the idea is Malaysian-French, in a hip Tribeca location." Zagat's Survey adds "'Tasty curries,' 'flavorful noodle soups,' 'fresh hot stews,' and 'great fruit tarts' at 'reasonable' prices draws fans to this 'family run' Tribeca French-Malaysian; it's a 'cozy,' 'shabby chic' spot." Diners are surrounded by the energy and creativity of the restaurants two founders, Marc Kaczmarek and Mei Chau - both of whom are artists in their own right.

Good food but extremely rude service. Waiter insisted on a larger tip for the bad service. Would never go again.

This is a great place for a casual brunch or dinner. The atmoshere is great and the owners (Mark and Mei) always take time to get to know their customers. We recommend the Terenganue shrimp. During the summer the gaspacho is awesome. The tarts are amazing too.
This should be required dining for anyone who still enjoys the value of a truly classic French
meal. All of your senses will be indulged.
