Port Richey Restaurant Guide

They have closed their doors, I'v never been so dissapointed in what the Past owners had do to a otherwise great place it use to be.

Amazed at rudeness of staff: inattentive, didn't take order or present food timely, had a "I can't be bothered" attitude; server (who had been talking on her cellphone behind the bar, very loudly discussing her child care problems with her boyfriend) became very defensive and rude when I complained about the lack of service (when I asked to speak to the manager she claimed she was the manager). Staff just didn't really give a care at all. A terrible experience. Won't return there for any reason.

Dual personality. During day it is a pleasant comfortable river-side restaurant with respectible food at adequate prices. The ambiance is the key. However, at night it turns into a (the only words I could find) rough honky-tonk.

What can I say .. WOW ... Words cant say how bad place was. food cold, intoxicated staff and high prices and thats the good of this place. Dont know what you might take home with you but its now a doggie bag.

Terrible experience for all in my party. To begin we asked for salad. The few leaves 2 tomatoes, some onions and lots of croutons isn't a salad. We had to ask for the rolls, they were not given automatically. As 1 of our party of 5 ordered a hamburger, we only received 4 rolls. (how much do the rolls cost?) The hamburger that was ordered tasted like it was cooked prior and reheated in the microwave. My blackened grouper was raw when received and I sent it back. Upon the return, I was told if I didn't like it the cook could burn it for me. As I showed the waitress, it was still raw. What were they going to do with it now? I told her to bring it back and don't bring anything else.My boyfriend got mussels fra diavlo. The sauce tasted like pizza sauce and the mussels tasted like they were getting ready to turn bad. The pasta with it was almost non-existent. (again, how much does past cost?) The steak ordered by another was tough as nails. The fish ordered by the 5th was dry as was her rice. The waitress apologized and said the manager would take my fish off our bill, but the manager made sure to hide out and never showed his face to us. As we receive company from up north many times during the year, you have now lost numerous customers.We longed to be at Catches across the water. All this and we paid a fortune for the meal and could have done better at Ron's BBQ on 52. They have fabulous food. By the way, if I could have given "0" stars I would have. Refinish your tables and check to see they don't rock as we had to put something under one leg so our drinks wouldn't spill.

We are so happy we came across such a great place as Fatty N Mabel's. Every time we go there we have a great time. The food is good and so is the service. The band, Slick Sides they have on Sundays bring alot of additional atmosphere to the establishment. While nothing fancy the people are friendly and the patrons at Catches across the river are definitely jealous of the fun we all have. We have brought a number of people from up North and everyone has commented as the the laid back "real" atmosphere. Nothing put on. Only folks having a great time.

I am from new mexico and just moved to florida .palm harbor. friend and i went to fatty /mabels hd margarita was terrible /friend had pina colada was terrible way too sweet /food was ok nothing you could not get any where else in port richey /manager seemed intoxicated

I loved this place.I had friends from the North and we all sat out on the deck.There was a band playing and the food was fabulous.
The service was great and I've been working in this industry for allmost 15 years.I even had an opp. to meet the owner and he was just a great man.What an experience.I would recomend for all.Great Place

The service was slow.managers walk around with a snobbish attitude, and act like they have all been drinking,not proffessional at all,food was cold and took a long timed to get to table, portions are small.seems like a bunch of local drinkers are mostly there
