San Diego hard to beat for business, vacation trips

If sun and surf are on your vacation or business radar screen, then plan to spend your trip in beautiful San Diego. This world-class city combines great year-round weather with a beautiful coastline, top-notch convention and meeting facilities, wonderful restaurants, plenty of sightseeing stops, and vibrant nightlife activities. When it comes to family fun, it's hard to beat San Diego. Here you can take the kids to several world-class parks. LEGOLAND, a 128-acre theme park, features dozens of interactive attractions and rides that let youngsters power them. A 100-acre tropical garden with some 4,000 animals is part of the world-famous San Diego Zoo. The zoo also features the popular Giant Pandas and an elaborate monkey exhibit. The San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park is nearby. Here wild animals roam free on a vast preserve that resembles their native habitat in Africa or Asia. While you're at the park don't miss the Journey Into Africa tour. And, of course, SeaWorld San Diego takes you deep into the ocean world with sea life from around the world. Make sure you include the Dine With Shamu and Journey to Atlantis attractions while at SeaWorld. San Diego is also home to many museums, galleries, monuments, and other landmarks. There are also a number of annual events to work into your schedule. January is when the Buick Invitational Golf Tournament takes place, featuring some of the PGA Tour's biggest talent. Natural beauty is celebrated each March-April when the colorful Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch bloom. Obviously, the beach always beckons, as do the cruises and other outdoor recreation.
