The "Mile High" city

Welcome to the "Mile High" city. Up in the high altitude of the Rocky Mountains lies the great city of Denver. Being at an altitude of just over a mile higher than sea level, this place sure knows get down. The Red Rocks Amphitheater is a magnificent sight to see. This concert venue has some of the most amazing acoustics that you will ever hear and if you come at the right time you will catch some of the many great performers that perform here. Also the Denver Botanic Garden is a sight to see, with over twenty acres of all kinds of plant life. It the weather is not looking to good then do not fret because Denver is home to many great museums. The Museo de las Americas is famous for its Latin art and the Museum of Nature and Science will take your breath away. Take a tour at one of the United Stated Mint where U.S. currency is made. Don't forget to visit the animals in Denver, land and sea. The Denver Zoo and the Downtown Aquarium are great places to visit. Another great sight to see is Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. This large venue is great to watch a baseball game with more than 50,00 seats. A little known fact about the stadium seating; if you are in a purple seat then you are exactly one mile from sea level. Shop away in the 16th Street Mall or at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center with some of Colorado's best shopping. Are you hungry then try eating at the Paramount Café, which sits in the restore Paramount Theater. It offers you a relaxed environment with good food at a great price. There are also other great restaurants like "Bang!" a great place to eat indoors or outdoors. Now it is time for that nightlife to heat up.
