Brothers is what you would have to call a neighborhood restaurant. It's in a run down old building between Day and Night Mini Mart and pizza place and to be honest, it took a little courage based on the appearance to give it a try. But if you live near Meadowdale High School, and you like Americanized Chinese food, this is one of the better choices in the area.
They have about a dozen tables if you want to eat in, but from my experience, most people take out or have it delivered, and I think the delivery area is about a 3 mile radius from 52nd and 168th.
They feature a menu with over 100 choices, but if your family is like ours, you usually end up getting the same things over and over, but since we eat from there so often, I usually try to get one new thing every time, just to experience new and different flavors. Frankly, I wouldn't rate any dish that I've had at Brothers outstanding, but other than the chicken wing appetizers which are always over cooked and dry, I can't think of a single dish I've had that is really bad. Their Chow Mein (Lo Mein) is very good, try the house special. The beef broccoli is quite good and the General Tsao's Chicken is a spicy treat. The seafood dishes are fresh and the shrimp and sugar pea pods are a favorite, and if you are feeling adventurous, order the squid appetizer. If your order is over 18 dollars, they will throw in an order of free pork fried rice which is also very good.
