Restaurant Description

Bocca Grande Italian Restaurant opened it's doors in January of 1991. It is family owned and operated. The owner's Grandmother called him "Bocca Grande" as a child. It is still fitting even today. It means, "Big Mouth". He felt it was a great name for a restaurant with large portions and to name it in his Grandmother's memory. The restaurant's mission is to provide the community with a comfortable atmosphere filled with delicious foods. We pride ourselves on fresh, quality, ingredients blended together to make a delicious meal for you and your family. We boast reasonable prices so our customers can stop in regularly and not just on special occasions. Because of our location we are close to many churches and available for Rehearsal Dinners. We are able to handle groups of up to 50. The Bocca takes great Pride in our rehearsal dinners. We know that the bride and groom have many responsibilities and the rehearsal dinner should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Bocca has great lasagna, pizza's, antipasto salads, etc.. It is an easy way to entertain in your home or at work. Just pick it up hot and ready to go or heat it up later. We can also provide you with a chafer pan for serving a buffet at your home or workplace. You won't be disappointed!

Sat night 12/12 we went to Bocca with friends.
When we were seated the waitress said she did not have enough menus for us. Gave us two menus, and game back 15 min. later with two more. There was one large group of about 20 in the middle, but there were empty tables. When we ordered there was no blue cheese dressing. One person ordered soup, it came after our salads were finished. We waited at least 50 min. for our dinners. The waitress never gave us an update, nor did she offer an apology. The owners stayed in the bar area and never came by to check on patrons. When our dinners arrived they were cold, and one person ordered Lasagna and the waitress put his plate on the table, which had PERHAPS HALF of an order of Lasagna on the plate. She said they ran out and he would be charged half. Never offered to bring more of something else on the menu. When he asked to have more off the bill, he was given two drinks off. Again, the owners never came over or apologized. The waitress was rude and had a bad attitude. She said he did not need to see us because she had been there long enough to handle the problem. We will not be going back. NO STARS

Love the Bocca and their staff. We have been going their since they opening. Gosh that is probaly 18 years! You get a great value for the money plus the food and the service is wonderful. Everyone really cares and makes you feel like family. Why go to a chain when you can go to a mom and pop place where the owners are ACTUALLY THEIR!! It is just so fun and so goooooood! love them and everybody that goes there!!!

I agree with the post calling BG one of the areas best kept secrets. I don't care for their pasta dishes (they're okay) but the steaks, burgers and prime rib (Fri / Sat only) are wonderful and reasonably priced.

The staff have always been friendly and responsive with only one exception - when the place was busy (a Fri, I think) and two of the staff called off sick.

We dine there once or twice a month and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Best kept secret in Massillon! Lovely owners who are friendly and welcoming. Lively yet pleasant atmosphere. Good menu variety to choose from, with reasonable prices. You'll want to go back. It is a regular stomping ground for my husband and I, friends, and our young adult sons.

Love the place. The service staff is wonderful and the food is excellent. You don't even have to go near the belden village area. I have never had a bad meal there and my wife and I eat there once a week. It is casual with very responsably priced food. You really need to try it!

Many menu items unavailable: prime rib, scrod and veal upon visit. Steak ordered overcooked. Staff did not offer compensation. Other menu items ordered overpriced. Would not return.
