As a longtime (1951) residenct, and having brrn in the neat business all that time, and having to listen to people b--- about not having a good rest. here in Lompoc.
I donot think there are any better around, including the HP in Casmalia.
It,s upto the people here to support this rest.

WOW. Dinner was amazing. I ordered the lamb and my husband ordered the prime rib which he split with my daughter. They enjoyed it so very much. We also started off with the bake clams and muscles. They were amazing. The owners are warm and friendly. The service was exceptional. Would definitely go back again.

Savory rib eye steak, stuffed potato skins, and locally grown artichoke served grilled. There is also a balsamic dipping sauce for the bread and horseradish sauce just because it tickles the palette. Judy, the restaurant’s owner and executive chef, makes them from scratch and she is very astute when it comes to hospitality. My friends and I were delighted by tales while our meal was prepared and served in exemplary style by Andrea, our hostess. Since Lompoc has become an annual destination during my spring wine tour, I am looking forward to returning to this restaurant and would highly recommend it to everyone who delights in fine food and fun.

Best Ribeye steak in Santa Barbara County. Oak smoked grill is very flavorful. Generous portions of great down-home cooking. The artichoke and it's dipping sauce is the bomb.Service is excellent.Worth the drive from S.B.

When you step into the doors of Blacksmith Steakhouse, you enjoy the nice western theme. As soon as you step in, you are welcomed by the elderly owners and waiters take you to your seats where you feel compfy.

The food is marvelous. The burger is huge yet delicious and their speciality is the steak which is outstanding!

All local Lompoc restaurants should eat there. It's fantastic!

I am a local Lompoc resident. I often go to the Blacksmith for a steak and have never had a bad meal or bad service. The food is always hot and the steak is perfectly cooked the way I ask. It is very clean and the service is perfect. My advice is if one goes to a steak house, order steak.

Recommended to us by desk staff at Embassy Suites as a really good, family operated restaurant which really cares. Made sure we shared our opinion when we got back to the hotel.

This is probably the worst $100 we have ever spent for a meal, ever.

Starter: Onion Soup. We really love onion soup. Description made it sound like FRENCH Onion Soup. Big mistake. They tried, but it had been cooked about 6 hours short of anything that would even be considered close to french onion soup. It seemed like they tried to add some more onions in way too late in the cycle. Part of the onions were really crunchy and the broth had no depth. Worst part: $11 a pop. We've had great onion soup for $5 or $6 a pop, 10 times better than this. Told the server, no reaction. The management and cook staff did not seem to exist nor give a rat's behind.

Next: salad. About the most mundane iceberg lettuce salad in the history of mankind. McDonalds could do better.

Ribeye: quite good but the "beans" side was not available. Saturday nite, not available.

"Award Winning" beef ribs: skimpy on meat, pretty tough and very fatty. Not as fatty as some, fattier than most. We think they "awarded" this to themselves.

And when we left, there was no one around to even tell our opinions to.

Bottom line: if you are in Lompoc, go down to the Jalama Cafe. Absolutely excellent and about 75% better value.

We have eaten at this restraunt several times since moving here 2 years ago. This is THE BEST steak restraunt in Lompoc,California. Always ask for the artichoke which is not listed on the menu. They grow the biggest artichokes in this part of the country. I don't know of anything that won't grow around here.
