Must have eaten over a hundred meals at Bangkok Cafe since it opened... and there has never been a single disappointment. It's no-frills, and everyone knows their job. So the servers probably won't chat you up, there's no mood lighting or white linen tablecloths, and this is not the place to impress your boss or have a romantic date. But if you love the flavors of Thai food, if you want super-fast service, generous portions, and reasonable prices, this is the place. The seafood curries are my favorites, but there are excellent noodle dishes, great appetizers (try the Vietnamese-style fresh rolls)and there are enough choices on the menu that there's something for everyone. It's fresh-tasting and flavorful, with fresh basil instead of dried and home-made kra tiem (fried garlic) instead of store-bought. Yes, I'm a fan of this place. I'm not on the payroll, but feel people who manage to serve the public so consistently well deserve a vote of thanks every now and then.

Spawned from "Bangkok Express" located across the street, this is simply the best Thai food place around. Oh sure - you can find fancier accommodations - but Bangkok Cafe serves up outstanding dishes at extremely reasonable prices, while maintaining a pleasant environment. Alex (the owner) took over where his dad Sam left off, and always provides friendly, courteous service. Most of the same cooks are still there after 10+ years, so consistency is also a given.
All the dishes are great...you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
