I have been eating with the Gargano's family for over 35 years. Recently, I moved to middle Georgia and have yet to find a pizza that is comparable to the pizza at Gargano's. I try and get back to Albany to eat at Gargano's as often as possible. I like to eat one in the restaurant and get one to go. Best pizza anywhere.

My family and I have been eatting at Gargano's since I was born and before! This is the best place in the world to eat!! I grew up eatting there every friday night and saturdays too sometimes. This place not only holds many special family event memories but just good eatting. I live in North Georgia now but I still come to Albany from time to time and I have to stop by and eat a pizza while I'm there. My daughter (14yrs old)loves it as much as I always have. I still have family in the area that go there to eat often as well and they are like me...its the best place on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Gargano (the one that started it out in east albany) had a gold mine in his food....and the legend lives on !!! Good job Gargano's!!!! Good job!!!! :)

The original Garganos in East Albany in the 60's set the standard by which all pizzas are measured ! Never found anything close to it since !

Villa Gargano is an "ok" American-Italian style restaurant in Albany GA. It's better than the ubiquitous awful chains like Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Johnny Carino's, and Carabba's.
I stay in Albany on business once a month and I've eaten here a few times. The atmosphere is family friendly and I like that the owners tried to make it different with murals, awnings, and tall thin Italian Cypress on the outside of the building.
The baked pasta dishes are better than the linguine and fettucine dishes. The lasagne and ravioli was ok. The chicken marsala was not good, as the chicken was overcooked, the marsala wine was poor quality, and there was an overbundance of sage. Salads are basic iceburg, and the tomatoes on it were kept in the refrigerator and lost any flavor they may have had. The Pizza is better than national chains such as Dominos or Pizza Hut, but does not compare to Pizza found in Philadelphia, New York, or even the mall chain Sbarro. Don't drink wine here as the small wine list makes no sense and does not match the menu. One trip I brought my wife and children, ages 15 and 11, and they thought it was "ok". It's probably the better than any other Italian-style restaurant in Albany, though I haven't tried Picnic Pizza across the street. Of course, in this part of Georgia, the selection of decent non-chain, non-bbq dining is essentially non-existent. Pasta dishes are about $10 - $14.

I moved from South Ga years ago, but i have NOT been able to find Italian food that comes close to Villa Gargano. Pizza's are Superb and my favorite Veal Parmazan I have not found a match for in 10 years! Small personable atmoshere with teh elagance of a 5 star restaurant! Next time I visit back home this will definatly be one of my stops!

This is by far the best pizza in all of Georgia. Their pizza is thin crust and you'll be hard pressed to find better. Go with the Gargano's Special pizza or salad and you can't go wrong.

Gargano's has by far the best pizza I have ever had at any restaurant in my life. A good thin crust done just right. Spectacular tomato sauce. Love this place

Garganos is an honored family name in restaurants in Albany. Good food, nice dining experience. Italian all the way!
