Description
Located on the tree lined hilltop of Snydersville, PA, overlooking the scenic Cherry Valley, the Stone Bar has been in operation since 1936, serving local residents, travelers and tourists the best in food and libation. In its 60th year, the bar was acquired by Andrew Moore, a 'Cordon Bleu' trained chef. By putting his name to it, so christened "Andrew Moore's Stone Bar Inn." Relaxing in your choice of our outdoor garden veranda, with the culinary staff at the chef's table in our exquisite provincial kitchen, or in one of our old world dining rooms, warm with darkwoods, shimmering Tiffany lamps and its massive namesake stone bar, Chef Andrew prepares American cuisine with a contemporary approach. Serving up only the freshest of North Atlantic seafood, prime Black Angus beef and a grand selection of native game, Chef Andrew's creativity and flair will make your meal at the Stone Bar truly a feast of both sight and savor. A fine array of cellered wines, microbrewed beers and unique cocktails served by an outstanding staff that makes us proud, will undoubtedly make your every Stone Bar experience memorable.

We have been regulars at the Stone Bar for the past 15 years. When Chef Moore took over, this little "joint" it florished and the food was tremendous. It became the hottest table in the Poconos. You had better have reservations if you wanted to dine there. It was crowded everynight of the week. About a year and a half ago changes were made. The menu was changed and redesigned. Many of the items that had been there for years were removed. Prices were raised and their was a stark drop off in the quality of the food. The place is now mostly empty. You can walk in and get a table. The wait staff is transient. Someone has really dropped the ball here. This was for a long time a great place to get a great meal. What a shame.
