I've always been a lot skittish of trying raw fish or anything that seemed out of the ordinary to me but this restaurant is SO good I even mustered up the courage to try eel and LOVE it. They offer dishes for those who don't like seafood, but if you're a first time sushi eater, I would recommend you try Saky before you try anyone else's sushi. I was always afraid it would taste too "fishy" but theirs was so mild and flavorful that I can't imagine wanting to eat sushi anywhere else. Parking can be tricky so beware. Also, I've seen other sites recommend reservations. I went at 7 pm on a Friday and got right in with no trouble. They did seem to start filling up more after we arrived but it wasn't a problem. This place looks like a dive from outside but the inside is very tastefully done - nothing fancy, but comfortable, clean, friendly and fantastic food!

My husband and I have been eating at Saki for years. We love it!

Every bite of their food is amazing. Saki is the only place that has special rolls such as Birthday roll, Columbia roll, and Bento boxes. You cannot find these anywhere else here in Columbia. It provides so much flavor you would not believe it. Most importantly, everything there is homemade. Most Japanese restaurants sell food that they buy from the market but Saki makes I mean EVERYTHING there. You can truly taste the authentic Japanese food. Wow!

Wonderful! Outstanding! One of Columbia's best kept secrets when it comes to authentic Japanese food and sushi!!

The food was great, but the service was very poor. Even though the quality of the sushi was very good, I would not go back unless they offered delivery (which they don't). The menu was also considerably over-priced.

I met a party at Camon and had a negative experience. The service was very poor, especially for the price of the establishment. The waiter pretty much took the order and brought the food. I had to get up to get my own water and I felt that the lighti...

The Kobayashi family were extremely courteous and friendly to my husband and I as we visited my daughter who was in school in Columbia, SC. The food was extremely good and I would recommend this to anyone without any hesitation!
