Myself, and five others, had a nice lunch at this establishment on a sunny afternoon, Saturday in June 2002. I don't usually feel compelled to review or complain about food establishments... they're all different and have there pro's and con's. After receiving the bill for our lunch I was furious. Ok, shame on me for not looking at the little card on the table that said, "$19.freekin something" for a pitcher of beer, but, usually, one couldn't imagine a cafe charging nearly $20 for a pitcher of beer. The food was okay, rather, expensive in itself. Acceptable. $20 for a pitcher of beer- unacceptable. I confronted the owner about this. Naturally, I was the first ever to complain about this. Interestingly, I did see the second (not in our party) before we'd even left. Our group had 4 pitchers.. $40? $50?? No.. $80. I was furious. Somehow, I couldn't help but think they do a cushy biz just based on the fact.. one might not imagine such a price for beer. Surprise. My reccomendation?? Eat there if u like.. pay the high prices.. just, know what your in for. They charge $20 for a product that couldn't cost them anymore than $3. I felt violated.
