On april 9, 2007 I had an inncident at the Old Country Buffet. I paid my 11.00 and some change to eat at the establishment,to which I frequent at least 2 or 3 times a month. I went to the buffet table and got myself some fried chicken and mashed potatoes and went to my table where my recept was lying on the table.As I was eating I noticed a young man , acting very suspicious, walking around all the tables, especially tables that had only one person was sitting at. IM 62 y/o and retired n.y.c. police officer. I knew he was up to something.He kept wandering around and going in and out of the bathroom. I finished what was on my plate and got up to have another serving and as I was at the buffet table I looked back and saw him take my seating voucher off my table and go to the other side of the resturaunt and then he proceeded to help him self to some food. I approached him and told him that I wanted my ticket back. he said he didnt take it. I told him i saw him and then he said oh yes, I had to take it to write a phone number on it, he finally gave it back to me [no phone # on it]A young lady, the mananger came over and asked what the problem was, and I explained it to her as i just did now.She said how did I know he didnt pay to get in, If he paid he wouldnt have taken my stub. I said he should be asked to leave and she replyed in a harsh way that she would handle it and for me to keep out of it.She made me feel like i was the wrong one . I never got to finish my meal because I was so annoyed. I left the bus girl her tip and went over to the mananger and told her how she made me feel and that she lost a good customer and that i would never come back. she was talking to him like he was innocent but to me 62 years old, like i was a criminal.The majority of the custumers are eledery people in their late 60s 70s and even 80s.I wonder how manny times this low life has done this to these oloder people and they were affraid to speak up.I think that the exit door should be watched more closley because you can come the exit very easy and not be noticed. I paid full price didnt have a full meal and got heart burn while im sure that the low life ate for free and felt nice and full. thank you for your time
