When thinking of dinner options, DO NOT consider MoJo's!

We visited about 7:00pm on a quiet Saturday night, and not only were they "out" of the specials, they were "out" of over half of the menu choices. After ordering three different unavailable dinners, we asked what they did have; the server just laughed and walked away. We paid for our drinks and left!

When discussing the evening with friends, we learned they owe their service providers money. Judging from the lack of meals, likely is true of their food vendors also.

All I can say is YIKES!

When we arrived we noticed the tuna special. My wife being a tuna lover was eager to hear about it. We got seated at our table & handed menu's. No mention of any specials or anything else. After a little while the waitress came back and asked if we were ready to order..again no mention of any specials (the other was prime rib). I asked if there were any specials or anything. The reply was " uhhm maybe I didn't look at the board, is that what you want?" No additional info was offered, no extra effort to get that info... We were just baffled, so my wife said "sure I'll have that". Luckily she was able to eavesdrop on another table to get some idea of what it was.

My son wanted the prime rib, I tell the waitress, she doesn't ask what cut. When I tried to tell her she blurts out "oh you want sauce with that?" I tell her no I just want that particular size.

I ordered ribeye, with garlic mashed (more on that later).

The food arrives. The tuna "special" is two tiny pieces that look like they were shaved off a real tuna steak. They were cooked all the way through and covered with some mayonaise looking goo. The Carrots were undercooked, broccoli over cooked and here's the best part, the garlic mashed were INSTANT potatoes.

The ribye's flavor was good but it was a very thin cut, I've never seen anything like it. The icing on the cake was the INSTANT potatoes.

This took place between 6:30 and 7:00 on a Saturday night. As we were getting ready to get the heck out I overheard a waitress telling somebody they were out of prime rib. The place opens at 5:00 and wasn't all that busy so I found that pretty odd.

There are far better places to spend your money, stay away from Mojo's!

A new steak house in Menomonee Falls, we were excited. The visit quickly went downhill. We started with a drink at the bar. My wife had a glass of merlot and I ordered a brandy old fashion sweet. A pet peave of mine is a cocktail served in a small tub glass. Most bars serve a drink in a large tub. It had an overpowering taste of brandy with no sweet taste. We were seated and ordered. We waited at a bare table about 20 minutes before the hostess came over and asked if we wanted any bread. I ordered french onion soup and got a beef vegetable soup with a couple of croutons and some cheese thrown in. It really didn't taste bad but it wasn't french onion soup, although they informed me it was there special receipe. My main entree was a ribeye. It was very tender but no flavor. The dessert, a carmel cheesecake, was excellent. The staff also were excellent. Please make some changes....We want to come back!

My wife and I came in for some New York Strip Steaks. We ordered them and got them Peppercorn Style and with a red wine mushroom sauce - which is the way the steaks are served here. Our server, Jess/e, was delightful and recommended the French Onion soup. Was that ever a treat! We then got our steaks, one with mixed veggies and the other with garlic potatoes. Unlike most restaurants the mixed veggies were not from a frozen medley - they were fresh! The carrots were sweet and the broccolli was juicy. Very, very happy with our meals. Our server offered us dessert and when we said no to cheesecake or a sunday, told us about the specialty martinis Mojo's made. My wife and I decoded to split the Chocolate Razz one. Also a good choice! Before we left the manager (?) came around to all the tables and asked about their dining experience and wished everyone a good night.
We will definitely be back!

I went to Mojo's last Saturday to enjoy their Prime Rib Dinner which I have heard very good things about. I can honestly say they had the best Prime Rib I have ever tasted in the Falls! The meat was juicy and flavorful and cooked exactly the way I asked for it, which was medium. I had sauteed mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes as my sides and both were very tasty. My wife and I each had one of their specialty martinis for dessert and those were fantastic! I had the Caramel Apple one and she had the Milky Way martini, which, like our server said, tasted just like the candybar itself! Our bus girl and server were very polite and always kept our water glasses filled and tables clear of dirty plates. Our server suggested we come back to try Mojo's Ribeye steak and we will definitely do just that.

We went to Mojo's on a Saturday night and ordered steaks which were excellent. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the glasses of wine we had were a nice compliment to the dinner. Mojo's is a nice place to go in Menomonee Falls which is a little nicer but not too fancy. The steaks cost less than at other steakhouses in town, and are just as good. We have been there before for Friday fish fry's which are also excellent. Overall I give Mojo's a very good rating, and we'll be back again.

Please read all the other reviews for Mojo's on this website. This is honestly the worst restaurant I have been to. The employees were very unfriendly and cold. I would have been better off going to my local grocery store, grab some frozen chicken, frozen fish and throwing them in a microwave. How this restaurant is still in business is beyond me.

We have visited Mojo's twice. On the first occasion, the food was o.k., but the service was horrible. The management was very apologetic and gave us a dessert for free. Ad we like the general ambiance of the restaurant and the convenient locations to our home,we decided to give them a second chance. We went there Valentine's day. I called in advance for reservations and their answering machine said that they did not accept reservations. We got to the restaurant shortly before 7:00 and were asked if we had a reservation. When we told them about the message on the machine, we were told, "oh yes, we haven't changed the message yet, but it should say that we don't take reservations on weekdays except holidays". They said they would fit us in but it would be about an hour wait. We sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine. An hour and 1/2 went by and I went to the hostess station - virtually 5 feet from where we were seated at the bar, and was told that "someone else must have taken our table" but they could get us a table. On the way to our table I actually counted 5 open tables in a dining area that only has about 20 tables. After being seated, I asked for clarification on the entertainment book coupon. It states that the coupon is "valid anytime" but the coupon does state that it is not good for Friday night fish fries or specials. We wanted to make sure that the dinners we ordered would qualify. Upon mentioning the coupon, she immediately said that the coupon was not good for Valentine's day. When I said that I had not seen this in their coupon in the book she went back to consult the manager and came back with the entertainment book in hand, flipped open to the terms and conditions at the very back of the book and showed us a clause that said that the advertisers had the right to not honor coupons on holidays. At this point, we decided that perhaps they did not deserve a second chance. It was very apparent that their attitude towards service had not changed since our first visit.

This is a copy of the letter to sent to restaurant management. After 30 days, we received no response at all. We think the public would be interested in knowing about what we have to say about this restaurant.
We took another couple to Mojo's on 1-6-07 for a birthday celebration. We were so disappointed and embarrassed that it has become necessary to communicate the unfortunate experience that we encountered. I am sure when you read each problem you will agree it was an avoidable situation on the restaurants part. We arrived at 8:30 pm and were seated 40 minutes later. We all had ordered Filet's and were told that you were out of them. It is hard to believe that a steakhouse would run out of steak. This was avoidable on your part. We then had to look for other entrees. The waitress was telling us a count of NY strips only 3 left of them. Husband and I ordered prime rib even though we are not prime rib fans. They were served and we were happy with them, not much fat, nice size and thick. Once again we did not come to MOJO's for prime rib, we wanted Filets. Our guests, settled for ribeye's both ordered RARE. They were served well done. I can't tell you how badly we felt, how unhappy our guests were. A man (not the waitress as it should have been shortly after the food was served) had come by while we were well into our meal to ask how it was. We told him that the two ribeyes were served well and not the requested rare. He didn't quite know what to do but offered to make them two more, but at that point the timing of our meal would have been so off that they just settled for the overdone ones. The waitress had not even been around to tell her of the overdone steaks. This was avoidable on your part. We also had to wait an inordinate time for our food to be served. The waitress- She had a "indifferent whatever" attitude, didn't know the menu well or just couldn't communicate dishes. She plain just told us not to order one of the "specials" as we would be disappointed. Her attitude and skills were so poor, we labeled her as one of the worst waitresses we've every had. Her attitude was avoidable on your part, she is placed in the wrong job. She also only refilled water glasses once during entire meal. After ordering our meals, the waitress came back and told us that they had run out of baked potatoes and offered garlic mashed. She said they only had 3 baked left. We were then embarrassed once again as our guests could not have what they wanted. Running out of baked potatoes was avoidable on your part. When we received our potatoes, in actuality there had only been 2 left and we once again had to negotiate with our guests. I would have given up my baked potato to one of our guests but I really hate garlic so it made me look bad that I was not able to give up my potato. Then you ran out of butter packets. After a considerable wait, our bread had gone cold, the waitress came back to tell us that the restaurant had run out of butter. She came back after an extended period with one little bowl and some butter scooped into it. Upon tasting the butter...it was off-taste and didn't taste good or normal. A restaurant running out of butter is unconscionable. Running out of butter was avoidable. She ended up eventually finding 4 butter packets by gathering them up from other tables. We thank you for the birthday cheesecake and singing that we were surprised with. It was a nice gesture but still didn't make up for the series of avoidable errors that we encountered throughout our entire meal. No steaks, no potatoes, no butter, overdone steaks, poor waitress...unfortunately our meal conversation turned into all the avoidable situations instead of enjoying each others company. We would request that if you are serious about being restaurant and customer satisfaction, you consider reviewing these avoidable events with the responsible individuals. Sincerely the O's

My husband and I have been to Mojo's on several occasions. The food is always excellent. I especially love the pretzel chicken. ( It's a bit pricey for a chicken dish) The steaks are a few dollars less than the more upscale restuarants but the prices are still high for those of us that eat out often. It would be great to see a "special" in the $12.00 range. We have recommended Mojo's to several of our friends who also have found the food to be very good. We like that the restuarant draws a crowd that is not conducive to small children. We love children but not when we are dining in a nicer restuarant. The one big improvement would be if there were no smoking allowed in the bar as well as the restuarant. When the restuarant is busy the bar is the only place available to wait.

I went to Mojo's with a group from work that we call the supper club. We try and get together once a month to try new restaurants. We read the review about Moro’s in the Milwaukee Journal and were dieing to try this place because the review sounded so good. We arrived just after 4:00 and enjoyed the happy hour at the bar while waiting for the last person in our party to arrive. I think the happy hour was the best part of this dinning experience. We were seated shortly after 5:00 and were greeted by our waitress; I think her name was Jessica. We ordered some appetizers. We ordered the breaded mushrooms, onion strings and the sampler platter. The waitress returned shortly later with 2 loafs of bread, which were pretty good. She then took our orders. 3 ordered the Rib-eye steak, 2 ordered the filets and one ordered the New York Strip Peppercorn steak. When the appetizers arrived the onion strings and the mushrooms looked like they were dripping in oil and were soggy from the oil. The chicken strips and the Mozzarella stick's were O.K. We were then brought our soups and salads. I had the French Onion soup, and I know every restaurant cooks a little different, but I never had French Onion soup like this. It had small chunks of meat in it and very little broth and hardly any Onions. The cheese on top of the soup bowl was not even melted. I was disappointed. My wife had the Beef Barley soup but she said it should have been named Split Pea. Again, there was little broth and way to many Peas. Two others in our group had the salad, and both stated that the salad was not very good. Then the steaks were brought out. All 3 that had the Rib-eyes said the same thing. Not very good, touch and way to much grisaille. One of the persons that ordered the Filet, asked for it to be butter flied and well done. The steak was butter flied, but it was not well done, so it was sent back to the kitchen. When the steak was brought out for the second time, again it was not well done. The steak was again sent back for more cooking and the 3rd time it was brought to the table, it was finally well done. The other person that had the filet said it was very good. The person that ordered the Peppercorn steak said there was a little too much pepper, but overall the taste was good. Again, after such a good review in the newspaper, I found it hard to believe that the food was so bad.
