Wells Restaurant Guide

This is one of the best Seafood Restaurants I have ever eaten in. Everything is fresh and the service has always been just as great as the food.
I would recommend Mike's to anyone.

The owners must be putting these good reviews because 26 of us just had dinner there and the food was cold and terrible and we spent almost 2000.00 between drinks and food and then got asked to leave at 8:45 so they could close but the waitress was good...

That restuarent is the BEST!!!!!!!!!! Always so delicious haddock crumbs or 1/2 & 1/2 haddock ....YUMMMMMMMY!!!!! You will never miss that!

Mike's is great. I've been going there since they were down the road at the original location. My only complaint is the clams. For a place with clams in the name their clams are a strong 3 on a 5 scale.
Personally I think the secret to good fried clams is not changing the oil as often. This is difficult to do, but leads to a crisper, better tasting clam.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm very picky too. We had 5 children all under the age of 5 and 4 adults and we felt at home. The food was wonderful and the ambiance was just as wonderful! I also loved that their take home packs were biodegradable along w/ their kiddie cups! I will drive from lowell, MA to Mikes in a heart beat!

My wife and I travel to Wells, Maine quite often. We have tried most restaurants in the area, but we always wind up back at Mick's. It's hard to deviate from the BEST.The restaurant has recently been remodeled & expanded, allowing for an even more enjoyable dining experience. The food is outstanding, the waitstaff friendly, keep up the great work.

My husband & I have a summer place in Wells and eat there whenever we have guests,especially if they have kids. The food and service are consistently good and we always have a great time. We often go there to watch the Red Sox on their big screen tvs and have a drink in their new bar. It's awesome!

My first visit to this place was solo and i ended up going there again with friends just to sit at the huge bar and drink a few beverages. I had the fish and chips and seafood chowder and my friends had the lobster roll. All delicious. The staff is friendly and the place has been totally renovated for 2007 and looks awesome. Prices are very affordable for families and the quality of food and service is excellent.

We are both willing to drive the 3 hours just for a meal and one of their bloody mary's, which was the best we have ever had.

I purchased Mike's Clam Shack New England Clam Chowder and brought it home. It was delicious. I would like to know if I can purchase this item now that I am home??

Haven't tried every restraunt in ME but so far Mikes beats the ones we have. We have sampled the chowder from Ogunquit to Bar Harbor and Mikes has the best. We plan our trips to arrive at Mikes for lunch on the way up as well as lunch on the way home. Depending on our final destination we will make it to Mikes for at least one dinner. We have never been disapointed at Mike in any of our meals over the past 5 years. The 2lb lobester is a meal not to be missed.

Absolutely the most delicious seafood entrees and New England Clam Chowder. Superb casual dining with excellent service and clean facilities. The food is served steaming hot and the scallops just melt in your mouth. The chowder has lots of clams and nice soft potatoes.

EXCELLENT Clam Chowder. My 9 year old son still talks about how good the chowder was since we visited two years ago!! We plan to return to Maine this year for vacation and the first place we will visit will be Mike's Clam Shack! Well worth the money!

Excellent sea food. Great service . Kept going back there to eatduring my stay. Large helpings of food. Just the best!!!
