A WONDERFUL little kitsch old-school french restaurant which is consistently wonderful. Great for romantic date. Sweet historic neighborhood. Wonderful wait staff (Andy in particular) and fabulous chef Jean, of course.

We found this restaurant in the late 70's and have been going there every since even though we now live 400 miles away. We took our son there as an infant. He is driving there tonight from Newport Beach (with plenty of restaurants to chose from)to celebrate his 28th birthday. We are food junkies (as is our son) and we have never found a restaurant serving better French food. You will NOT believe how inexpensive it is regardless of selection and quality. We have never seen the value replicated. We celebrated every anniversary there for 20 years until moving to Northern Ca. You must give it a try. Jean Irola, the owner is an absolute Prince of a man, is not there all of the time now but the quality has not changed. You are missing out if you are looking for dining pleasure and do not give this place a try. Don't go to South Coast Plaza or Palm Springs or San Francisco, enjoy this hidden treasure in Colton, YES Colton, Ca.

Excellent place. Leave the kids at home, not because they wouldn't love it, but because people like me don't want to hear screaming self-centered brats.
