The food there was delish! I tend to mix it up and order from the Korean side of the menu which is just as great. Its clean, quite and best of all the food was great. I recommend the Korean Bul go Ki and the Tempura meal, and the miso soup is just as great.

A great place for lunch with inexpensive "lunchbox" specials that allow you to sample Japanese food if you've not tried it before. The "lunchboxes" come with soup and a small salad and the price is very reasonable. The staff are very pleasant and the food arrives promptly. It's a great place to try sushi for the first time, the Chef's preparation area is spotless.

I went there the other night. The food was awful and they stand right behind you, too. I don't like people watching me eat. The yakitori was so over cooked I could hardly chew it. Is it custom in Japan to over cook chicken? The salad was something out of my youth in kindergarten that the lunch lady made. It was a disappointing meal all around. The ambiance was great though. I love the look of Japanese restaurants

Ichiban isn't fancy-looking, but the food is excellent and we eat there regularly because the staff is so nice. Hibachi is right next door and offers all-you-can-eat sushi which we keep saying we should try, but we haven't gone yet because every time we have the choice, we pick Ichiban. Love the sushi, love the dinners, love the staff.
