Our last outing at our favorite restaurant on the beach for the last time about a month ago. I was looking forward to the taste of their boiled seafood platter and stuffed flounder as I had ordered from them for the past 20 years or so. Delicious. Those two dishes WERE the best!! I was sooo saddened when we arrived at our favorite hotel, the Biloxi Travellodge right behind the Hook, Line, and Sinker to see that there was nothing left to either one of them. Instead of savouring the great taste of their wonderful food and thereafter heading to my favorite swimming pool on the coast, located at the hotel right behind Hook, Line and Sinker, I was having to attend the funeral to bury both of my favorite places in Biloxi for over 20 years. My home is in Plaquemines Parish Louisiana where Katrina first made landfall, Buras. I saw a lot of devistation, but I must admit seeing my favorite "get-a-way" at least once a summer, devistated me more than what I had exprienced from Katrina's wrath prior to visiting. Even though the Hook, Line, and Sinker Restaurant is no longer in existance, it still lingers on in the memories and TASTE BUDS of those who frequented there. God Bless the owners of both the Hook, Line, and Sinker and the Biloxi Travellodge. By the way. Irony as I was walking around the site where these two places once stood, I actually ran across a completely intact platter that once served their wonderful seafood on buried in the surface of the sand. I will cherish the plate and pieces of my favorite swimming pool and hotel forever!

Took my wife to Mary Mahoney's for a surprise birthday dinner. Three couples met us there. Mahoney's secured the flowers I wanted for my wife. The service was outstanding and so was the food. I have never been disappointed at Mary Mahoney's.

The appetizer was very good but expensive for what amounted to 4 small pieces of bread with very little crabmeat on them and provolone cheese melted on top. We ordered the special which was a 7 oz filet with crabmeat and mashed potatoes and steamed v ...
