We normally would frequent the Hibachi in Bear and love it but since moving to Middletown we decided to give this one a try - big mistake. First it was extremely hot in the entire resturant, our waitress so so. The chief was nice however there was no flame(fire) to "start the show" there was no steaming volcano, there were a few spins with an egg and taps of a spatula but that was it. The filet was fatty, the dipping sauces were a lower grade verison that before. And I think the sauce they add to the rice was also cheaper b/c it didn't have the same flavor plus they added seeds to it why, I have no idea. Needless to say we will not be returning. It seems that they have cut too many corners resulting in a different experience.

This place is amazing! It is so much fun, and the food is great. The only drawback is that the tables seat 12, so you are often sitting with strangers.

I've been going to Hibachi's for many years now, and will continue to go, the service is always top notch and the food is amazing. To read other reviews and see someone say eyedrops were put in their drink makes me think they've watched too many movies and want nothing but a free meal cause two people almost 100 years old never get the squirts for any other reason.

I visited Dover from California and took my 89-year old grandmother and 70-year old mother to dinner on July 9 at the local Hibachi. I ordered green tea. The waiter/manager, Ernesto?, said their machine that makes tea was broken. My mother asked if they couldn't heat up hot water to make the tea. The waiter came back and said that they couldn't. My mother asked for some green tea to take home to make. The waiter came back and said that they didn't have any tea! Shortly after we left and were shopping, my mother had a few bouts of severe diarrhea and vomiting. I believe that eyedrops may have been put in her water/drink. Additionally, the food was mediocre...the scallops and shrimp were overcooked. Not a good experience overall and you'd better believe that my mother and grandmother won't go back.

By far superior to Benihana's (my favorite restaurant for many years).

Always an enjoyable time, I have been to Hibachi many times and to do the same in the future! They have very reasonable 'early-bird' meals during the week, the same meal as later but lower priced. A very nice restaurant if you like the Teppan-style of cooking (cooked at your table).
