 The food here is So-So at best. We only go there when meeting friends that live in Clinton. Honestly, it's not bad, I just can't say that it is good. The food and bland and boring. I guess if you have never traveled more than 10 miles, and it's all you have ever had...it's great. If I am going to eat this type of food, I prefer Cracker Barrel where the taste, service, and value are all better.

i drive a truck all over the lower 48 states and into southern Canada and i am ALWAYS looking for a good place to eat with home cooking !! The food was incredible and i will definately be back when i am in the area .. i urge everyone to try the restaraunt at least once .... you will not be disapointed !!! A friend of mine with his own family friendly website ( gogobus.cc ) taught me to always pass up the commercial restaraunts and look for the mom n pop type places and boy am i glad that i listened !!!

I love you guys at golden girls. i am lucky to eat your food every day and night. your food is the best and my mom is lucky to work there.

I live in Kansas, and go visit my brother in Knoxville,Tn..and every trip, I make him take me to Golden Girls restaurant...for the best damn Chicken and Dumplings around. For the money, its almost more than I can eat....but...hee hee hee, I force myself to eat it all. And they have the best Iced tea.

This restaurant is the best I have ever been to. I love their chicken, corn, green beans, and soup. Their coffee is awsome and they have the best service I have ever seen.

It took two hours to get our food.

Excellent home cooking and a low price. I had Liver & Onions, with 2 sides and choice of potatoe, my husband had Catfish, 2 sides and choice of potatoe. We also had fried cornbread. Total bill was $17.35. Golden Girls is always busy, but has a home-y feel to it.

I have been to this restaurant twice - once with an uncle and once with my wife. Both times the food, the coffee, the service and the value were great. I'll come back the next time I'm in Tennessee.

MY VISIT WAS ON 10/20/07. I DROVE FROM KNOXVILLE BECAUSE I KNEW THEY SERVED BREAKFAST AT ANY TIME. I ARRIVED AROUND 2:30 PM. THERE WAS NOT MUCH ACTIVITY --- NO PARTIES OR SPECIAL EVENTS GOING ON. I WALKED IN WITH NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME AND NO ONE BEHIND ME. I WALKED UP TO THE SIGN THAT READ, PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED. I STOOD THERE FOR 3-4 MINUTES AND ONLY THE CASHIER MADE ANY EFFORT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT I WAS THERE. AFTER WAITING FOR ABOUT 6 MINUTES I LEFT.
MAYBE IT WAS THE FACT THAT I WAS DINING ALONE THAT CAUSED THEM TO NOT OFFER SERVICE, BUT IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS, I WILL NOT VISIT THEIR ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN.

The food was EXCELLENT all the way down to the dessert. I did not care for the cornbread, but the rolls were wonderful. They do need more restrooms, though.
