a diner from Baton Rouge, LA
I had seen this place featured on the Food Network, and was disappointed that it did not live up to the hype created by the show it was on. Another Food Network is scheduled to film there this coming week, but they should go down the street to another place known for their chicken. We found the chicken almost bland, the gumbo that we were served had no meat in it, the mac & cheese was dry, and you could stand a spoon up in the red beans. The waitresses were from other states and knew nothing about the food items on the menu. Our waitress "thought" the gumbo served there had BEEF & sausage in it....Are you kidding me? BEEF in gumbo??? Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
