Restaurant Description
Since 1969, family recipes have been served at El Burritos in Las Vegas. In the spring of '69, Romolo and Mary Grace Duran set out on a venture to open a leather goods store. But, in the course of that venture, came to open up a small Mexican restaurant on Fremont Street called "El Burrito Café." Now, with two locations, the tradition continues with their son, David Duran. This newest location in West Las Vegas (Summerlin) was opened in 1993 and continues to serve original, favorite family secrets of what many Las Vegans call the "best Mexican food in town." Many Las Vegans remember that little hole in the wall with its homey atmosphere and many leather goods hanging from the walls, but today this El Burrito emphasizes on creating memorable experiences and great dishes for their customers. El Burrito ~ the only place in "the Valley" to get "Special Tacos."

Great food, great service. Can't add much to that I have always had a wonderful experience dining at El Burrito! The food is one of a kind. This is the place to go for great food, service and margaritas!

I have been a customer at this restaurant for over 20 years. My experience has always been a pleasant one. I have never had to wait longer than the normal allotted time for service, even on the weekend. The servers are always very friendly and the food is wonderful. You can tell that it is freshly made to order. They also make delicious margaritas. I feel that the food is moderately priced. I believe that you get what you pay for. I will continue to go here as I have found no better in town.

I have lived in the Las Vegas Valley for my entire life and have had the pleasure to have eaten at all three of the El Burrito locations. What I have found over the past 30+ years, is that the food has always been consistently delicious and of high quality. I have also had the pleasure of knowing many of the family members. I knew the parents of the present owner, and remember David (the present owner), when he was the cook at the East Fremont location. My experience with both the family, and restaurant employees has been a delightful one. Whenever I dine at this establishment, I always leave happy.

We ate as a family recently. The restaurant was dirty, the staff inattentive, and they added on charges after the meal was finished. The owner was RUDE. Wow..never again..diner beware

I've been eating at El Burrito since 1974. My first experience was at the original location on Fremont Street. The food is always consistently delicious and has never been cold on arrival. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I've found that if I am in a small group or in a larger group, they always manage to get us in and seated within a reasonable period of time. Their take out food is equally delicious. They make sure that your food is warm when you get it home by serving it in styrofoam containers. To me, it is the closest to home cooking that I've found.

My experience at El Burrito was just wonderful!!! The prices are very reasonable (especially their luncheon menu)! Their staff is very friendly and helpful! I've never been disappointed, even when ordering take-out. They always give me plenty of free chips and salsa which is an added plus. I will continue to dine there as they are truly the best in town!!!

 My experience “eating in”

Servers are immature inattentive smug and basically not there with the exception of one very nice middle aged lady who seems out of place on account of her niceness. Food is generally inconsistent. Portions are very small and extremely expensive for mexican food. The previous two times my wife and I sat down and ate, our food came to us cold.

My experience “to go”

Expect to ad an average of $10 to your order if you make the mistake of ordering take out. I was told salsa was free but was charged $4.75 because I was eating out. Customers are also charged $0.50 per take out container which in most cases is a piece of tin foil wrapped around your order. Also watch out for take out charges and of corse expensive inaccurate charges.
I do agree at one time El Burrito was a great restaurant. Sadly those days are over. Prices have gone way up while quality has plummeted. After four years and countless last chances, my wife and I will not be eating at El Burrito anymore.
