We ate as a family recently. The restaurant was dirty, the staff inattentive, and they added on charges after the meal was finished. The owner was RUDE. Wow..never again..diner beware

I've been eating at El Burrito since 1974. My first experience was at the original location on Fremont Street. The food is always consistently delicious and has never been cold on arrival. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I've found that if I am in a small group or in a larger group, they always manage to get us in and seated within a reasonable period of time. Their take out food is equally delicious. They make sure that your food is warm when you get it home by serving it in styrofoam containers. To me, it is the closest to home cooking that I've found.

My experience at El Burrito was just wonderful!!! The prices are very reasonable (especially their luncheon menu)! Their staff is very friendly and helpful! I've never been disappointed, even when ordering take-out. They always give me plenty of free chips and salsa which is an added plus. I will continue to dine there as they are truly the best in town!!!

My experience “eating in”
Servers are immature inattentive smug and basically not there with the exception of one very nice middle aged lady who seems out of place on account of her niceness. Food is generally inconsistent. Portions are very small and extremely expensive for mexican food. The previous two times my wife and I sat down and ate, our food came to us cold.
My experience “to go”
Expect to ad an average of $10 to your order if you make the mistake of ordering take out. I was told salsa was free but was charged $4.75 because I was eating out. Customers are also charged $0.50 per take out container which in most cases is a piece of tin foil wrapped around your order. Also watch out for take out charges and of corse expensive inaccurate charges. I do agree at one time El Burrito was a great restaurant. Sadly those days are over. Prices have gone way up while quality has plummeted. After four years and countless last chances, my wife and I will not be eating at El Burrito anymore.
