I had the chicken with rice and a mushroom wine sauce. It's the best I've ever eaten. As always the baked squash casserole was awesome. Our service however was very poor. There are a lot of younger people working there that don't seem to know what customer service is. We had to ask another of the wait staff to find our waitress. She kept forgetting our requests as well as being hard to find. The food is excellent though so I will definitely go back. A little high priced.

My wife and I was very disappointed in the restaurant. My steak was over cooked, and the side dishes were slightly warm. Her side dishes were cold, but the fish that she ordered was ok. The table we sat at was sticky, and the service was slow. The man checking people out had a poor attitude, especially when he threw the ink pin on the counter for me to sign the receipt. He had an attitude that he did not want to be there, which gave me the same feelings. The service staff had the same attitude, and especially when our food was brought to the table by a kid with his hat turned around backwards and a dirty black t-shirt. The waitress delivered our rolls under her arm.

Have eaten hear for years...and thought I'd try something new. Had the Pork Chops...and was that a mistake. They were FAR from the quality of food I expected...and the price was way out of line for the portion. Not a good experience.

My family and I have eaten at Calico County for over 15 years. When we have something SPECIAL to celebrate, Calico is where we do it! Matter of fact, we just returned from there this evening. We dined there with an "Old" classmate and wife who have recently moved here from CO. We recommended Calico the first time we met after they had moved. (The meeting was the first one in 52 years!) So when we wanted to meet again, their first choice was CALICO!!

The food was great but the service was exceptional. We found it by accident but will look for it next time.
