I was with a group, so didn't choose this restaurant. Outside was the wonderful smell of barbecue, but I quickly realized it was coming from somewhere else. I kept going back to the buffet, looking for something edible. Finally found fresh pineapple. The red potatoes were very overcooked, the turnip greens tasted smoky, and not in a good way, the apples in the apple salad - gloppy with marshmallows tasted like they'd been sitting around for a week. Someone told me the fried catfish was good. Actually, the piece of chicken I had wasn't too bad. Cobbler was not good. I had a bite of someone's cheesecake that was okay, but probably not made in the restaurant.Seemed a little stale. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I would never go back. If I'm going to eat country food, I'm not going to waste fat and calories on the bad stuff. It wasn't $15 well spent, but it wouldn't have been a bargain at $5.
