 I used to go to AlMacs all the time because it was close to my job, then I started going to Dad's Place which was right down the road. Now that was a classy place; friendly waitress, fast service, and EXCELLENT food. When they closed after 5 years, I went back a few times to Almacs, and everything I loved about Dad's Place I hate about Almacs. They could learn a thing or two from the owner of Dad's. What ever happen to the owner? I think her name was Louise. Almacs should find her and hire her.

I like family restaurants, & Al Macs is exactly that, a old-fashioned, small town, American-standard, meatloaf-serving kinda joint that's been there forever. I haven't found the service rude, just plain-spoken & direct- "whadda yous guys havin'?" If the waitress doesn't get back to you, go get your own extra napkin- just smile when you do so, right? Pretend you live here, too, & enjoy feeling as if you do for a well-fed moment.
I like working in places like this; I like eating in places like this.; I can afford places like this & I don't regret tipping the servers 20%. Good food, comfortable company. I'm sorry other folks didn't enjoy it, but honestly this is where I go out to get a pleasant homey feed at a decent price.
They make excellent coffee milk, too, just the right amount of syrup!

Went in there to grab something to eat a Friday night. The place wasn't busy, maybe about 10 people. Sat down and ordered the same thing as my brother in law- home fries, corned beef hash, eggs and toast. He gets his with a heaping serving of fresh home fries and I get mine with half the size as his and all the burned ones. I tell the waitress I want some more please so she tells the cook (owner) and he literally gives me 5 small pieces of more burnt ones. then the wash boy in the back comes out and wants to give me lip like I was talking to him. I don't know why I got treated so badly, but I would have to guess it was the color of my skin. Guess my money isn't green enough... the waitress tries to tell me that the burnt fries is highly “coveted” there-I didn’t even eat my food, paid and left. Should have known 50’s style dinner 50’s style mentality, I hate when people say “it’s because I’m black …..” I don’t even consider myself black I am from the Caribbean islands of East Indian decent and my brother in law is white, what am I supposed to think! Will never go there when I visit MA again and nor will any of my family…. SAD

This used to be a great place. The past few times we have been in there, however, the service was terrible. The manager and the waitstaff are so nasty that the last time we dined there we walked out without ordering. It used to be that you could put up with the nasty attitudes there because the food was so good, but it also is not what it used to be. We have gotten burnt overcooked food the past few times. They are ruining what used to be a Fall River institution.

I have been a faithfull customer of Al-Macs Diner for several months and I love it.

The New hired waitress smells of alcahol and looks like she is doing drugs.
I was there with my wife and felt embarresd the way she was dressed.
I would do a background check on this women --- Sheila
You Have a great diner but some of your help will ruin your business.

Very good food and very good value for the money. I have dined here often and the food has always been great! However, the waitresses can often be very rude and and less than friendly to the customers.

Almac's diner is a great place to eat, especially for breakfast. Their blueberry pancakes are the BEST i've ever had! It's a 50's style diner, looks like it came out of Happy Days. It's a great value, too. Tons of specials at great prices.
