OK, so you have to go outside to get to their rest rooms, and they also allow smoking in their TINY dining room. So, unless you're used to that sort of environment, get your food to-go and enjoy it. Their fried chicken is TOPS, so if fried chicken is your forte', then you've come to the right place (forget Church's, the Colonel and Bojangles)! The take-out (window) staff IS friendly, but don't count on the younger wait staff if you dine in. They "like" are kinda' blahhh, ya know?

The food is not the best, especially for the area. The staff is rude and when called with a serious complaint, you are passed off to Managers with no authority and promised calls from the owner that go unreturned. My family and I ordered routinely from A&G in the past but will no longer due to the rudeness my family experienced as of late. The owners may want to remember, they are serving locals and residents of NC as well as those coming from well out of the area. While the one time customer from far away may be not ever return no matter how good your service and food, the locals are the ones who will always be your support, when treated well. Want barbecue? Go to Flip's or Smithfield.

Just an umimposing diner style place - fairly small and homey with some of the finest Eastern NC style BBQ you'll find anywhere. The Brunswick Stew, a must with BBQ, is incredibly good.
