Restaurant Description

Founded by media entrepreneur and environmentalist Ted Turner and acclaimed restaurateur George McKerrow, Jr, Ted's Montana Grill is a Classic American Grill featuring fresh, made-from-scratch comfort food within an authentic turn-of-the-century Montana grill atmosphere.

At Ted's Montana Grill, above all we are authentic. Real food. Real people. Real passion for the environment. At our Classic American Grill, everything is fresh, made from scratch, just as you order it. No freezer. No microwaves. No boil-in-the-bag. No pretense. And in keeping with co-founder Ted Turner's focus on the environment, we are an eco-friendly establishment that is as passionate about the environment as we are about our food. Recyclable paper menus, paper straws and reusable glass are just a few of the industry-leading ways we do our part so you can eat great and do good. Ted's Montana Grill. Who knew making the world a better place could be so delicious?

The first Ted's Montana Grill opened in January 2002 in Columbus, Ohio, and has grown to over 50 restaurants in 18 states.

The menu, under the direction of Executive Chef, Chris Raucci, features made-from-scratch dishes including premium beef, National Bison Association-certified bison, chicken and seafood. The time-honored American favorites include steaks, meatloaf, crab cakes, pecan-crusted trout, cedar plank salmon, burgers, chicken grills and vegetable sides. Fresh-cut fries, hand-dipped salt and pepper onion rings, delicious soups and an array of salads and desserts round out the menu. Average entrée menu items range from $6 to $20.

This place has become my Denver version of the old Berghoff in Chicago, only much more intimate. It's really good, and an excellent stop when you're visiting Lodo for any Denver event, or just a great evening out on Denver's beautiful summer evenings. And the food is really all-American- made and grown. The ambiance is mellow mahogany, and the food is top quality; all fresh, never pre-cooked. We're hooked on the bison; besides being leaner for you, it's so delicious here, much tastier than anywhere else I've been. And that goes for the bison pot roast, meat loaf, and burgers as well as the steaks. The side orders have all been delicious, there's about 12 choices including roasted asparagus, mashed or fried potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms and onions, HUGE onion rings, and my favorite, parmesan creamed spinach. Something for every taste.
This is a quality venue, and Ted Turner has again shown that he expects and enjoys the best.
The staff here is really attentive, and there's a childrens' menu as well, if you have well behaved children. Afterward, you can people-watch on Larimer. It's so good to have top of the line establishments coming to our beautiful city.
If you go to the Ted's website you can download a $10 coupon off on the price of 2 entrees which makes it a great way to try a new place!
